Music Monday - "Recovery" by Frank Turner

I heart KKXT.  It is no wonder that most of my music monday's selections are found on this channel.

Music Monday "Ends of the Earth" by Lord Huron

Hubster found this song.  I can easily listen to this over and over. Hope that you enjoy it as well.

Office Humor

I received this email in my inbox as I have flown Spirit once previously.

The timing is perfectly in sync with the unfortunate incidents of a certain Mayor of Toronto.  That, in itself, is so much drama and a nightmare that it could be it's own blog posting.  Instead, I thought I would just forward the email out to my marketing team for a few chuckles.

Me:
Bryan, you think we can do some type of promotion for our Canadian customers (see below)?  Gotta strike while the crack pipe is hot.
G

Bryan's response:

I’m afraid our current rates in Canada are a little “high”…..

…see what I did there? ......

My response back:

Too bad. I think we just wasted an opportunity.

Ba dum dum

Music Monday - Antony and the Johnsons "Here Comes the Sun"

If you haven't heard the version of "Crazy in Love" you should check that out too.

Music Monday - Traces of You by Anoushka Shankar (feat. Norah Jones)

Heard this on KXT on the way to work this morning; it is hauntingly beautiful and perfect way to start a Monday.

Music Monday - Mayer Hawthorne and Lou Reed

This was the planned song for Music Monday:

“It always bothers me to see people writing ‘RIP’ when a person dies. It just feels so insincere and like a cop-out. To me, ‘RIP’ is the microwave dinner of posthumous honours”
— Lou Reed

So I have to include this because Adame said I had to have a Lou song today.

And this is my favorite one.

Music Monday - "The Wire" by Haim

Fun video. Great song. It is a little like a female version of an updated Hall and Oates song - and I mean that as a ridiculously awesome compliment.

Enjoy!

Very Belated Music Monday - "Pretty Green" by White Denim

I know. I know.... I KNOW!

Things have gotten away from me. I made a last minute business trip to South Carolina (first time in the state, very pretty and green) on Monday last, hence the belated Music Monday. I literally spent 5 hours and then returned back home; it was a whirl wind but very worthwhile. I'm behind on blogging. I didn't review the final SYTYCD. There have been some hilarious Hubster moments I haven't had a chance to chronicle. My dear three readers, please bear with me.

Since the western-most part of South Carolina was so pretty and green, this song by Austin band, White Denim, feels oh so appropriate.
