Today has been an awesome day.
I woke up feeling great, snugged with the Boops and the Hubster, then put on one of my favorite outfits. Got to the car dealership where I was charged nothing for the tire replacement. Headed over to work with one fifth of #TeamAwesome - and Neaves the Beast taught me more about The Gilmore Girls. Had a pretty fantastic salad and baked snack. Chatted with an installation guy that got me two future work wins. Got my work homework completed early. Discovered a new song (below) and a new artist (which I will feature next week: KRNFX)
I can't wait for Music Monday, I have to post it now.

Music Monday - "Neckbrace" by Ratatat
Hello and happy Monday.

Tech Thursday - Winklevoss Twins, Space and Bitcoin
This article on CNN yesterday struck me as interesting.
In essence, the Winklevi are paying Virgin Galactic in Bitcoin to go to space. Richard Branson's company has been accepting it for payment, which further supports the virtual currency's place in our future. The Winklevoss Twins are also invested in Bitcoin and promoting their own capitol group, which should come as no surprise that they would enjoy the media attention around their "unique" purchase with a futuristic payment method.
Austin, Texas has announced that Bitcoin ATMs will be coming in the near future with one already established in a bar. My guess is that they are capitalizing on upcoming SXSW which drives music lovers and techies to blog, tweet, post and video all the new offerings. In my opinion, this is great PR for Bitcoin ... and free media and branding.
Even mainstream television has picked up on the Bitcoin movement. Shows like "Almost Human", which is set in the near future, make frequent reference to the untraceable currency.
Bitcoin is in it's infancy; or perhaps more correctly, its formative years. The value is volatile and still fluctuates, though it is becoming more steady as society begins to adopt it as an alternative to cash and credit. It is worth paying attention to during these growing pains. And yes, investing in a Bitcoin or two now could be a great investment in the long run.

SYTYCD Top 17 Perform - Season 10
Well hello there my three readers!* Time for another live blogging of So You Think You Can Dance, Season 10. Hubster is joining me in the entertainment room this evening instead of killing Zombies on the XBOX. Let's begin, shall we?
Opener - Top 18
Pretty Face (Nathan Lanier Remix) by Soley
Contemporary
Sonja Tayeh and Christopher Scott routine
Wow. Great routine, slightly ballet-esque. Very pretty. The audience was enjoying each leap into the pyre. Quite symbolic. Good costumes. No one stood out, but that is the point, they all look great together. I enjoyed the leg extensions and not quite knowing where to focus my eyes.
Jade is out of the competition due to the need for surgery. And this week's cuts won't happen until the very end of the show (which is how it SHOULD be... geez.) And the guest host is Paula Abdul? Are you freaking kidding me? Hubster points out her beverage and we both reckon she is already drunk.
Who's in Danger?
Jasmine M, BluPrint, Jenna, Curtis, Alexis and Jade.
With Jade out, there's no need to send a guy home. All three girls will dance and one will be booted.
Please don't cut Alexis! We need a tapper to make it to the final 10!
Jasmine M is a lot of floor movement and turns, but I wasn't too impressed.
Jenna looks like a dancing gazelle mated with Princess Kate. And that's a compliment.
Amy and Fik-Shun
Paso Doble
Jean-Marc routine
Tactical Dominance by Jack Trammel
A fight to the death! I couldn't take my eyes of Amy. Awesome costumes, the black leather rocked. As Mary Murphy provides commentary, Hubs shoots an imaginary gun at her face to shut her up. Some of those leaps were astounding. That was the least boring paso doble I've seen on the show. "Hate is a ssshtrong feeling." Oh shuddup Paula Abdul *hiccup* no one wants to hear your slurry mess.
Ooo. There's a SYTYCD app! I gotta get that.
Jasmine H and Aaron
Broadway
Spencer Liff routine
They Just Keep Moving The Line (SMASH Cast version) feat. Megan Hilty
Crime scene investigation + SMASH soundtrack? Color me IN!
Was that a quadruple pirouette? OMG I heart Aaron and Jasmine H. They are PHENOM! This was vastly entertaining and ridiculously fun for a Broadway routine. I wish that they hadn't spoiled the "dead" aspect and had her finish by lying on the marked out corpse line as a final reveal. They definitely acted the characters. If these are the first two routines, I hope the rest are able to at least match this entertainment.
MacKenzie and Paul
Contemporary
Lindsay Paulina routine
No Day But Today by Idina Menzel
She's got a terminal disease and he can't deal with it. Paula Abdul talks about Make a Wish, but turns it into herself in promotion. If you didn't have the backstory, then it would just be a pretty routine. It was lovely. But I wonder if the choreographers are trying to insert a story into the dance just to get votes? Perhaps I'm being cynical. It was lovely, but nothing that I would want to re-watch numerous times. Some of the lifts were quite brilliant.
At this point the Hubster leaves the entertainment room to go take a nap. I don't know that this bodes well for the rest of the show.
Jasmine M and Alan
Jazz
Sean Cheesman routine
Veins by Charlotte Martin (this is a popular song on SYTYCD. I swear we've seen other routines to this number, but I am likely wrong. They cannot reuse songs, right?)
Royalty? Go with it. Her skirt keeps getting in the way but she deals with it well. This was fun and different. I am impressed with Alan's strength. Jasmine M was fantastic to watch, but she did a weird skirt thing at one point that felt off character, but maybe that was the choreography. Enjoyable. SO far there hasn't been a bad routine.
Jenna and Tucker
Hip Hop
Keoni and Mari Madrid (sp?)
Dangerous (immortal version) by Michael Jackson
It is so uncomfortable to watch two white people who don't do hip hop try to do hip hop. Even the song is old. I am not a fan of the routine. I don't understand the costumes or Jenna's hair plan. It was... confusing. The judges are being nice. Paula calls it a "hipster kind of jazz" which is an insult to hipsters and jazz aficionados everywhere. Now I'm just being a little harsh... but it isn't a routine I will remember. The fact that it was a Nigel favorite makes me even more uncomfortable. I want to see Tucker highlighted next week.
Malece (minus Jade who had to withdraw) so we have All-Star Marco!
Contemporary
Sonya Tayeh
In the Embers by Sleeping At Last
Was it a funeral? Candles and the black lace. Maybe it was the recent wedding for Avril Lavine and Chad Kroger? Wow. Malece is going to be an All-Star herself. This was absolutely lovely. The leg extensions and lifts were incredible. Poor Jade. He is sooooo shooting himself in his bad leg right now. The judges are singing Malece and Sonya's praises. She is completely safe. The waves at the end were powerful. Great job! Normally the routines in the middle are less good (see Hip Hop routine above) but this was fantastic.
Haley and Curtis
Samba - oh this won't go well
Jean-Marc D
Straight to Memphis by Club des Belugas
Her hips don't lie... in fact, Haley's hips are non-existent. (Sorry Paula, but you are wrong.) Either the music was too slow or they just couldn't get it together. It was like watching Samba Hour for the novices. It wasn't good. It wasn't horrible. It just wasn't entertaining. Silver Linings Playbook had a better routine. The samba is the kiss of death; right behind the waltz. Sorry Jean-Marc... what happened to your Run Lola Run red-haired accomplice this season? I have a feeling one or both of these two dancers will be in the bottom three next week.
Alexis and Nico
Spencer Liff routine
Jazz
I Put a Spell On You by Nina Simone
Nico was on point, Alexis was slightly behind on her steps. But I heart her and want her to proceed. It was an interesting idea of being under control by a hypnotist. I think that these choreographers have been reading The Night Circus and coming up with ideas. You're about a year too late folks! All the judges mention is wondering why she is in the bottom three; which means she will likely make it. Nico has the teenage girl vote.
Mariah and BluPrint
Hip Hop
Luther Brown routine
Bring the Noise by M.I.A
They made it sound so epic, but it fell flat. They weren't synched together during parts of the routine. I'm not saying I could do it, cause I know for DANG sure I can't. But it wasn't anything tremendous. And BluPrint lifting his shirt reminded me of Combs from the Navy who used to do that and it's so dumb. Maybe I have to watch it again because apparently I'm not agreeing with the judges. Paula has been drinking ... she thinks they were in sync at the beginning. Though, her comment that BluPrint was holding back is correct. BluPrint looks pissed at the judges when they say he needs to bring out his personality.
Now... which girl is going home? I'm going to go out on a limb and say Jenna.
Nope. I'm wrong. Must be Jasmine.
Yup, it's Jasmine. Alexis continues on but gets the note that she needs to LISTEN to the choreographers.
See you next Tuesday folks!!!
*And hello to all those who found this blog on a search engine. Somehow I have over 70+ readers on a Wednesday. I don't know who you are, but you are welcome to comment. Or not. Be a lurker. That's cool. Whatevs.

Dr. Who and Annoying Suzeroo
(Set up: Suzeroo is a big Dr. Who fan. My Hubs remembers the series from the 60's and 70's. I've never watched them. I started texting Suzeroo and apparently it got a bit annoying. The conversation below is a re-created version of what happened.)

Belated Music Monday - "Shoulders of Fortune" by This Ground Moves
Music Monday was belated for absolutely no good reason. Adame suggested this song ... which is now stuck in my head. "I'm at the Pizza Hut. I'm at the Taco Bell. I'm at the combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell."
But no. No Das Racist. We are going with something infinitely more wordy.
Also heard on CSI: NY. Wow, I am now sourcing music from a crime show whereas I used to find underground songs from teh interwebs. How suburban I've become.

***SPOILER ALERT***
IF YOU ARE A FAN OF THE SHOW "AMERICAN HORROR STORY" AND YOU ARE WATCHING THE SECOND SEASON STOP READING THIS NOW.
Okay, so here's the deal-o. The whole crew went out to lunch and on the way back, JJ was talking about the show he watches "American Horror Story" (AHS) and how great it is; people in a mental institution run by nuns and a doctor who stole a lesbian and rapes her... et cetera. I told him that I'm not a horror fan. (That's an understatement. I think I had nightmares for weeks after seeing Stephen King's "IT". I remember "Ernest Goes to Camp" was scary for some reason too. Seriously, I. Don't. Do. Horror.)
So I'm doing my googlies and my reader feed came up with something on AHS.
Me: (shouting over cube walls) Hey JJ, weren't you saying something about AHS earlier today?
JJ: Yeah, why? (He walks over to my cube.)
Me: There's something here about Dylan McDermott and a Bloody Face?
JJ: Wait what? Dylan McDermott is Bloody Face?
Me: Uh, I don't know. This just came into my reader feed.
JJ: G, you totally just spoiled the entire season for me. (chuckling with frustration.)
Me: I did? OHMIGODIMSOSORRYIHADNOIDEA! (slams palms on the screen so he can't see anything)
JJ: Well, it may not be true, right? Don't worry about it.
Me: (pretty sure it's true since there was a photo accompanying the article) Uh, yeah maybe. I'm REALLY sorry!
JJ: Sorry that you ruined my life? This is like, the only show I watch. (he's still chuckling in the JJ way he does, and isn't super angry, but I feel awful and totally ruined it for him.)
Me: You can spoil something for me! Like a book or something.
JJ: Yeah okay. You bring in a book and read the first half and then I'll read the last chapter to you outloud.
I have to go to spoiler alert jail and be punished. Hopefully not by nuns in a mental institution.

SYTYCD Wrap Up - Top 16
Ooo Kat! Love the 50s glamourpuss hair and red lips.
The Here and After - Jun Miyake (Group Routine)
Black and White Charlie Chaplin slash Hobo number. Though the moostaches are still slightly Hitler-esque. Imjustsayin. (What was that insurance company that uses a red umbrella as their logo? Found it.) Choreography was coolio and song was great. I'm not sure what Tyce Mister Oreos had in mind with this, but good job.
Special Judge Cristina Applegate... whaaaaa? Well, it's not as weird as Zooey Deschanel, but clearly FOX is promoting its shows with star judges who don't dance.
Oh and we learn there is a 2 week break due to the Olympics. Yay Olympics... Boo SYTYCD.
Tiffany and George "Out of My Mind" by B.o.B. feat. Nicki Minaj
He peed his pants in track. She got a 5.22 GPA in High School
Babysitter routine. Can't take your eyes off Tiffany. Far superior in this routine. Okey dokey NappyTabs!
Judges, specifically Mary Murphy, are annoying. Shut your trap.
Brandon and Amber "Dr. Feelgood" by Aretha Franklin
She's a hairstylist. He was in Step Up.
Southern couple after work. Baby making music. Hot and sexy. All we needed was the "o" onstage. Good job Ray Leper (thanks Nigel for stealing my "baby making" comment.) Sweat is pouring off Brandon's eight pack during judges comments. Magic Mike Much?
Janelle and Dareian "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen
He's a skateboarding dare devil and she writes bad raps.
Ooo Pasha Cha Cha! And it's the song Hubs and I joke over. I just met you. You're probably crazy. Here's my number. Kill me maybe. Didn't your mom ever tell you not to talk to strangers?
Great job. Entertaining. I'm kinda over the critique thing.
Lindsey and Cole "Wild Horses" by Charlotte Martin
He's an actor and she hates feet. Angry Mary Moore routine.
I really hate this song. This version isn't half bad, but I still hate this song. The dancing is great though. Best choreography of the night.
Amelia and Will "You!" by The Creatures
He wants to be in boy band and she carries SPF 100. Jazz with Mandy Moore, opposites attract.
Will executes better, but she's kinda awesome too. Cool routine, but I'm not connecting. Therefore, I won't vote. Nothing hit my heart chord.
Matthew and Audrey "Cinco Salsa" Sverre Indris Joner / HSC / KORK
He likes to golf and she wears a night guard.
Time for a salsa. It's challenging, but it's boring. "Nothing outstanding" says the Hubs... and I agree.
Witney and Chehon "I Will Always Love You" by Whitney Houston
He can play the violin and she cthinks she knows German but clearly does not.
Hubs points out that Chehon has an abnormally long neck and must own a lot of turtlenecks. Choreography is by Stacey Tookey. When the upfront gives a great story, the dance is more complete to the audience. Just saying. Standing O. Connected partners but nothing that makes me want to keep them. I didn't cry. Make me cry and you have my vote.
Eleana and Cyrus "Toxic" by District 78 feat. Cheesa
She killed a bird and his bellybutton is a XBOX power switch.
Hip Hop NappyTabs about a ballerina and a robot.
If they were constantly in strobe light, it would be better. Hubs notes that if there were a crank on the side of the pedestal she stands on, it would be more rad. They should have painted him in silver as a robot.
In danger: Amber, Lindsey, Eliana, George, Brandon and Dareion
Hubs and I agree that Eliana and Dareion need to stay.
Though best performance of the night goes to...
"Jungle Jazz" by Les Tambours du Bronx. Alvin Avion Dance group: The Hunt
Black slaves sold to white merchants? Dance for your life. Sexuality. Life and death? The way the front dancers had their mouths covered at the end makes me want to know more. Want to talk to Joe Black about this tomorrow.
So who is out?
Amber and Brandon.
See ya in two weeks.

When "Sup?" is replaced with "Howdy!"
At home this Friday morning with the Hubster and we are passively watching The Today Show before heading off to the hospital*. We both looked up from separate tasks (I was checking work email on the crackberry, he was playing monster with Moocha) and stopped what we were doing to listen to a song being performed live.
Me: This is good.
Hubs: Yeah it is. Who is this?
Me: (googling) Um, the Zac Brown Band? Babes, I think this is country.
Hubs: What? This isn't country. The guy looks like Paul Bunyun!
Me: Huh. He kinda does! But no honey, I'm pretty sure we're listening to country... and LIKING it. We've been in Texas too long.
Hubs: No, this is alternative I think. Or just their mainstream song and the rest of their stuff is country.
Me: Well let's watch the video.
Me: I think it's probably country. They are performing another song after commercials, we'll know then.
(next song comes up and it's DEFINITELY country music.
Hubs: What did I tell ya? The rest of their $^!# is country bumpkin.
*Hubs is going under anesthesia to get his throat checked out again

Weekly Wrap Up
Today my new favorite Barrista, Amy, knew my drink order and my name the moment I got in line. Sa-weet!
I'm watching The Newsroom first episode because my brother said he'd give me 20 bucks if I did. That's a lie. He totally isn't giving me money, but I am watching the show.
Got a shizz load of work done since Sparky was out of the office visiting the Mothership.
Had lunch with my work hubs, Joe Black, today and totes got back into our groove. Until he asked me to do some rewrites and additions to the latest script. Boooo. I'll get to that on Sunday.
Spent an hour with our GP Doctor and found out she's going to reopen practice elsewhere. Shout out Dr. Turner, you're the fraking bomb-diggety.

Music Monday - Zou Bisou Bisou
There are a lot of things I want to say today.
But I'm going to keep my big trap shut.
Zou bisou bisou.
(just try to keep it out of your head.)

Music Monday - Royal Wood
As heard on a recent Being Human episode. Sad, sweet, lovely and makes you want to snuggle up by the fire.
No matter what shall pass
I’ll feel our breath
